  How to update your software:

  Download the LD Update file (below) and install it.

   That's it.

   This will update your Lottery Director programs.

Where to Put the File
  1. Download the  file you want  into  any  folder.

    A suggested folder is:    C:\LDIR\TEMP


  2. Note the name of the folder you are downloading into.  Start the download, and wait until it is completed.


  3. When the download is completed, go to the folder you downloaded the file into.  You should see the file in the folder now.


  4. Double-click on the file to install it.  Your Game Histories will be installed automatically.

Here are some free downloads that can enhance your use of the Lottery Director desktop.

Golden Pen Text Editor

What It Does:

This is a powerful text file editor with 'block' copy and paste capabilities.

You will find it useful for copying and pasting columns of information in text files.  It's a Freeware program.

Notes:

  1. Your LD program has a Files Editor for all of your standard files, including making your own custom wheels and game reports.

  2. This 'Golden Pen' utility is an additional editor.  You can use it for special editing, such as inserting or moving columns of data.


  3. It also includes an advanced calculator and a table of ASCII text characters.

Where to Put the File
  1. Download the file into  any empty  folder.


  2. Then double-click on the file to extract its contents.


  3. You will see a  GPSETUP.EXE  program.  Double-click on it to install Golden Pen.

  • After you install Golden Pen, you'll see instructions for running it.
You will also find complete 'Help' instructions in the program.  The program is copyrighted by Vitaly Nevzorov.  As Freeware it may be used but not sold or disassembled.  Copyright and contact information appears in the program's screens.

Planet Archive Manager

What It Does:

You can use this program to  "compress and extract"  ("zip" and "unzip")  files.

You will find it useful for extracting wheel files after downloading them from this site.  It's a Freeware program.

  3. You will see a  SETUP.EXE  program.  Double-click on it to install Planet Archive Manager.

  • After you install Planet Archive Manager, you'll see instructions for running it.

XP_Fix Utility Program

What It Does:

Microsoft Windows XP, with Service Pack 2 installed, has been shown to have up to three missing or corrupted files.  These files are part of Windows, and they are needed for running LD and other programs.

Notes:

  • You can use this program to repair the missing or corrupted Windows XP files.  It's a Freeware program.

  • It applies only to Windows XP with Service Pack 2.

Downloading and Running  XP_Fix

How to Use the File
  1. Download the  XP_Fix.exe  file to your  Windows XP  desktop.

  2. Then double-click on the file to run it.
