How Current are the Games?

1. Download the  file you want  into  any  folder.
   
   A suggested folder is:    C:\LDIR\TEMP


You can also download it to your Windows desktop.


2. Note the name of the folder you are downloading into.  Start the download, and wait until it is completed.



3. When the download is completed, go to the folder you downloaded the file into.  You should see the file in the folder now.



4. Double-click on the file to install it.  Your Game Histories will be installed automatically.

What It Does:

This program removes all your game files.  After running it, then you can start with a fresh new set of games.

Over the years, you can accumulate a lot of old, obsolete game files.  They are no longer played.

Now you can get rid of them, and you can start with a fresh download of games.

Note:  This program removes all of the game files.  If you have made any 'custom' games that you want to save, copy them to a temporary folder before running this program.

It removes game files only -- it does not affect any of your Lottery Director programs or wheels.

After removing the old games, you can download a fresh set of games with the 'Game History' file, above on this page.

It's a Freeware program.

Running the Program

• After you have downloaded the program, double-click on it to run it.



• Now all of your old game files are removed.  (It is very fast.)

You are ready to get a new set of game files.

• To do this, download and run the 'Game History' file (above on this page).

Now you will have a fresh, new set of game files.

What It Does:

This is a powerful text file editor with 'block' copy and paste capabilities.

You will find it useful for copying and pasting columns of information in text files.  It's a Freeware program.

Notes:

1. Your LD program has a Files Editor for all of your standard files, including making your own custom wheels and game reports.
   
   
2. This 'Golden Pen' utility is an additional editor.  You can use it for special editing, such as inserting or moving columns of data.



3. It also includes an advanced calculator and a table of ASCII text characters.

Starting the Golden Pen Program

• After you install Golden Pen, you'll see instructions for running it.

You will also find complete 'Help' instructions in the program.  The program is copyrighted by Vitaly Nevzorov.  As Freeware it may be used but not sold or disassembled.  Copyright and contact information appears in the program's screens.

What It Does:

You can use this program to  "compress and extract"  ("zip" and "unzip")  files.

You will find it useful for extracting wheel files after downloading them from this site.  It's a Freeware program.

Downloading Planet Archive Manager

Starting the Planet Archive Manager Program

• After you install Planet Archive Manager, you'll see instructions for running it.

You will also find complete 'Help' instructions in the program.  The program is copyrighted by Richard J. Mentecky.  As Freeware it may be used but not sold or disassembled.  Copyright and contact information appears in the program's screens.

What It Does:

Microsoft Windows XP, with Service Pack 2 installed, has been shown to have up to three missing or corrupted files.  These files are part of Windows, and they are needed for running LD and other programs.
