Lottery Director Free Wheeling Software

Wheeling Your Numbers

Free Wheeling will take your Lotto numbers.  It will make playable combinations with them.

Most players have a limited financial budget for playing Lotto games.  Free Wheeling gives you options for controlling your playing cost.  It gives you ways to reduce the amount of combinations you get, when you are combining your numbers.  You can bring your playing cost down to a level that fits your playing budget.

Reducing your combinations does not increase your chances of winning -- it is purely a method for managing your playing cost, in a planned and organized way.

Your final combinations will be stored into standard "text" files, which you can view or print with your Windows Notepad, Writepad, or any standard editor or word processing program.  You can also import your files into a standard spreadsheet or database program.

How it Works:

(1)  Name Your Wheel:   First, you enter a "name" for the wheel you want to create.  You'll see examples of how to do this, on your entry screen.

(2)  Describe It:   Next, you describe the kind of wheeling you want to do.  You can make combinations for any Pick-2 through Pick-9 Lotto game, with up to 64 numbers.  For example, you can define a "Pick-6" wheel, with "20 numbers".  You have Help screens to guide you.

(3)  Enter Your Numbers:   Next, you enter the numbers you want in your wheel.  If you wish, your program can enter numbers automatically for you.

(4)  Filter Your Combinations:   Now you come to the main part of your wheel:  Filtering your combinations.   You can choose from a variety of Filtering options -- each option gives you a way to reduce the size of your wheel.  You'll find Help for each option.

(Note:  If you are not familiar with the concept of "Filtering", you can find an explanation and examples at this Lottery Director Web site.)

(5)  Additional Reduction Options:   After choosing your filters, you'll be presented with additional options for further reducing your combinations and cost.  You can set limits for:

  • Maximum Combinations to be Generated
  • Maximum Occurrences of each Number
  • Skipping (Bypassing) Combinations

(6)  Make Your Wheel:   Now -- you're ready to generate your combinations.  You can "Preview" the wheel before storing it on your disk.  You can do this as many times as you wish.  When you're satisfied with how your wheel works, you can store it.

(7)  View Your Wheel:   You can view your combinations, and you can see how many times each lottery number is played in your wheel.

Free Wheeling will identify the names of the files that are written on your disk -- the files that contain your combinations.  You can now print these files with with your Windows Notepad, Writepad, or any standard editor or word processing program.  You can also import your files into a standard spreadsheet or database program.

How Your Wheel Files are Stored:

Your combinations are stored into one or more files on your disk.  The amount of files you will get is determined by the amount of combinations you have.  Here are some examples:

  • Wheels for General Use:   If you are making a wheel for general use, each file will contain up to 50,000 combinations.  You can have up to 100 files -- therefore you can have up to 5,000,000 final combinations.

  • Wheels for Importing into Lottery Director:   If you are making a wheel for importing into the Lottery Director software, each file will contain up to 5,000 combinations.  You can have up to 100 files -- therefore you can have up to 500,000 final combinations.

Note:   You do  not  have to 'keep track' of these files!  Your program makes them automatically, and identifies them for you.

Why 'Multiple Files'?:   A large wheel takes a large amount of space -- both on your disk, and in your computer's RAM (memory).  For example a Pick-6 wheel with 30,000 combinations can occupy about 600 kilobytes -- and one with 300,000 combinations can use 6 megabytes.

Your system probably has disk capacity to store such a wheel -- but there is another factor to consider:  the internal capacity of other software programs to work with your wheel.  For example, if you will want to view or print your wheel with an editor or word processing program -- or import it into a spreadsheet or database program -- then that kind of program must be capable of handling large files.  Many programs cannot handle a single file that is many megabytes in size.

Therefore your wheel is divided into a series of files, each of moderate size.  The files are logically 'linked'.  That is -- where one file ends (with a combination), the next file begins (with the next combination).

Virtually all standard software applications can handle files of this size.  Note that you do not have to do anything to make this happen -- your program does it automatically for you.

You'll find this to be an easy-to-use, flexible wheeling program -- with plenty of options to support your wheeling needs.
